Why Did We Choose Charlton Hall?

As soon as we saw pictures of Charlton Hall online we instantly knew it was the one for us.

We both wanted something that was a little different, and Charlton Hall is certainly that.

Set in a 150-acre country estate, the Hall provides a blissful setting with stunning views. But enter, and you’ll find a quirky interior, party atmosphere, with a surprise around each corner.

In fact, we were so sure this was “the one”, we had an appointment with a wedding coordinator, stayed overnight, attended an open day, and reserved a date all within a week!

We hope you’ll love it too, but either way, we know you’ll enjoy exploring just as much as we did!

How Do You Get Here?

What Three Words: irritable.gearbox.outwards

The postcode for Charlton Hall is NE67 5DZ. If you’re using a Sat Nav, this may try to take you down the B6347, signposted for Seahouses and Christon Bank. This route is possible, but not very accessible, instead keep going for ~1 mile and take the next turning off the A1 to the right, signposted for Charlton Hall.

Bear left and you’ll see a stone gateway on the right. Drive through this and follow the track for about half a mile. You’ll reach a fork in the road by the lake, from here follow the signs to Charlton Hall on the right.

There is ample parking at the venue.

Unsure where to stay? Don’t panic…Charlton Hall is set within a privately owned estate which offers 41 unique bedrooms and suites to stay in.

We would highly recommend the Tempus Hotel after an amazing stay in January (mainly because it’s right next to the venue and easy to stagger back to!)
